Need to stop certain applications starting up when you load into Windows? Simply use msconfig
Select the Windows Start Button and then select Run
Now type msconfig and select OK
Now select the Startup Tab and you will be able to see a list of applications which start everytime you load Windows.
You can uncheck applications here but just be sure you know what applications you are stopping from starting up before you do so.
