Re: windows xp screen freezes

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

You Event posts show two main sources:

Sony Ericsson\Mobile\Sync Station\Device

Microsoft Windows OneCare Live

Are these new programs? Hardware?

To get more detailed errors change this setting:

rt. click My Computer then click Properties then Advanced then Startup and Recovery Settings then unclick Automatically restart

When the computer crashes again write out the full error especially: (for example):

Stop: 0x0000000A (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL*** Address x has base at x - filename

After this you will need to manually power off the computer.
