I have the same problem, since I bought my Pinnacle Studio 9 in 2004.

Using other formats like avi or mpeg does not cause the same problem sometimes.

This is a typical dump when I try to compile a DVD that is even only 20 minutes long:

I even downloaded the patch 9.4 from Pinnacle but things got worse. In the past, I was
able to compile a 30-minutes DVD, but now, it is not even possible to compile a 20 minutes DVD.

I tried the Pinnacle Studio 9 software 4 months ago on a super PC with a Pentium 3.2 GHz CPU running Windows XP with service pack 2, the last updates, ATI X800, 4 gigabytes!!! ram, and 600 GB harddrives, but it did not help either. The same or similar messages came up.

Pinnacle does not even react to my emails or complaints.

Did you find any solution?

I might switch to the Apple Macintosh environment.
