Is "CMOS setting wrong" the verbatim BIOS Error message?

It is curious that your problems are both in XP and in the BIOS.

This tends to suggest a hardware failure and many of your Event errors point to your CD drive.

Another idea at this point would be to flash your BIOS. To do this you need to ID your motherboard.

If you do not know it try this little app: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Look under Mainboard for the Manufacturer and Model. The Manufacturer's web site will most likely have BIOS downloads.
