Computer Keeps Crashing!!

Hello!

In the past two months the PC has crashed four times. It's an outdated PC but even that doesn't mean it's allowed to throw a tantrum like this.

The following warning keeps popping up.

-The file or directorys C:\Windows\System32\drivers is corrupt and unreadable-

It then asks me to run CHKdsk but that doesn't work since apparently something is unreadable.

I don't want the comp to crash again! Thre's soo much stuff on it. as long as I dn't turn it off it's good....but I can't keep it on forever.

I know this post isn't in the proper format you've asked for but if you let me know what you need I will do my best. The computer is running slow as a snail but I can do whatever is needed to give you all the information you need.
