Re: backup software discounts

Hi,
I have used the Acronis products for many years specifically the True Image line and have considered them one of the best.

However, I have never heard of their 'Snowflakes' line nor is it listed anywhere on their official site found here;
Acronis.com

I did a search of their site and when I entered snowflake in their search bar I received a 'Nothing Found' message.

But I did find a post in another forum that I'm including below;

Quote:
Hello guys!
I'm happy user of Acronis software for a long time.
And today i visited their site looking for something new and noticed that if i put a cursor on snowflakes they will give me popups with discounts. I think it's very funny, try it.
So i found 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%
This strongly suggests that the poster may be a victim of a browser hijacking.
They are probably being redirected to a fake Acronis website and are being duped into sending money to a fictional company.

If you or anyone else reads this and sees 'snowflakes' on the official Acronis website I sure would like to see some screenshots of it with the browser url also displayed.

Always make sure that the browser URL matches the official URL of the web site you are visiting. And when placing an order make sure that the page is a secure SSL page and that the certificate is valid and matches the web site.
