Re: afu,ed colours

This sounds very much like your computer is operating with 8 bit colour quality. If you right click the desktop, head to Properties > Settings, under colour quality does it say 8 bit?

If so this needs to be changed to 32 Bit. If you are unable to do this, then the best course of action is probably to update your graphics card drivers. Head here and select your Laptop from the list. Select your Operating System and then scroll down to the download for Driver - Graphics. Download and install the drivers.
