Attempting to uninstall SP2 might make XP unbootable.

This probably will not happen but there is a small chance it would.

If XP failed to boot we can then try to recover it in Safe Mode.

It is a small chance of failure but I just thought I would mention it.

In a worst case you would need to repair install XP from the XP CD.

A repair install wouldn't affect your data but a clean install would clear the hard drive.


All that being said see if you can find this file:

c:\hp\drivers\videofolder

Open C: under My Computer then follow the path: c: \ hp \ drivers \ videofolder
