Re: Change memory timing
OK, So on Boot up of Live CD PCLOS 2009 is when you get the kernel panic I take it.
Since, I don't run PCLOS Linux, and am not familiar with its boot cheat codes, or choices offered when the grub boot screen comes up. I think you will be better served posting your question at the pclos forum link I gave you in post #7.
It is like asking what to do to get a Toyota to start in a Jeep shop. They are both cars. Both basically the same. But the devil is in the details. Those guys at PCLOS forum know the details of their distro. If I was running it. I might maybe be of some help. But I don't run it.
I have read a few posts kernel panic at the PCLOS forum. But none that had a situation like yours. Sorry I can't be of more help to you. You sound like you know what you are doing. And so, you know how upgrading by using the updater for some folks does not work. That a clean install, is the way to go sometimes.
Kernel Changes from 2008 to 2009 is what is killing you right now. And since I have no clue on what changes were incorporated by PCLOS developments team. I suggest you ask the source of those changes. Good Luck twobits.
