Maybe you should take ownership of the entire program files folder how jephree started in post 2. It will have to be done in safe mode and you should be running as little as possible. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you because I don't know why XP would deny the use of an application to an administrator. If you have XP pro you can try the administrator account. You can unlock it in computer managment. Right click on my computer --> manage --> local users and groups [under system tools] --> users. Double click on administrator and uncheck account is disabled. It should now show up under the welcome screen provided you have the welcome screen enabled. In XP home local users and groups does not show up.
