Well the only thing I can suggest is a reinstall. What about using the administrator account? What about creating another administrator account and deleting the one you are using?

Not likely. XP is either activated and has full rights or its not and if not eventually you won't be able to use it at all. But thats typically 30 days post install. I think what happens is if you install a certain number of times within a certain period of time [I don't know that specifics] then it doesn't automatically activate online. You'll get a phone number for an automated system. If it has been too many times the system will probably send you to an outsourced operator [so you could really just ignore the system and get switched over anyway] & you'll have to politely tell him/her that this is a reinstall on the same machine and you will get a bunch of numbers to enter into the boxes. You might have to tell the operator a bunch of numbers.
