Re: CD-ROM Trouble!

Hi ,

Are the discs in use clean and free of scratches ? I've had discs that wouldn't read so my usual trick is to dampen some cotton wool and wipe the discs in a circular motion then dry using a dry piece of cotton wool .

Is it the same cd-rom as the old machine ? Have you tried burn testing a disc in the cd-rom ?

Other than that a brand new dvd / rw aren't particularly expensive , £15 would buy a decent dvd r/w .

In cd r/w's the lasers can become misaligned or even cease to function over a period of time.
