You should have an "Edit Post" button on the bottom of each of your own posts.
As to the pop up another good reason for IE8. It also blocks most adds automatically.
To me it is like day or night on this site as well as others. With IE8 I don't get the adds that Firefox allows.

I will pass that along. You should always have that option in my opinion.

Just for info for people using firefox. If you install No Scripts Add On you won't get those annoying popups either.

Thanks for sharing but exactly where is this? I searched for "No Scripts" in FF add ons page and didn't find it. What exactly is it called? Is it specific to Linux?

Re: 13 yr old father & 15 yr old mother...
No it is not specific to Linux. It is a addon though that is outside of Firefoxes repository. I should of mentioned the best way to find it is by googling it. I have it installed in all my Linux firefox and Iceweasel Browsers. I used to get those drive by scripts that would try to download Antivirus 2009 and such when hitting/clicking on a bad site. Not that those malwares would have a bad effect on my system. I just got tired of seeing the crapola that would show up. If I needed to see something in flash or java, I could give it permission to run via the No Scripts Options section for each page. Its a good program. Adblock is also good (a lot of Linux users prefer to use it since they aren't concerned about Windows malware) but using No scripts is better in my opinion for Windows systems. I like it. It can be a pain sometimes though because you forget it is running and you will click on like a add reply in a forum and if you haven't given that site permission yet, nothing will happen and you'll think something is wrong when it actually isn't. After you install it you will get a small task bar at the bottom of the screen which shows what your options are for each site you visit. If you enable all permissions for the site you are visiting, No Scripts will remember those exceptions every time you go to that site afterwards.

Oh it didn't show up b/c there is no space in the name. Thats a poorly designed name parser in their search engine. Will it cause problems in DAL. We can't have that.
Ok I'm already annoyed by it.

Re: 13 yr old father & 15 yr old mother...
Haha. I'm a frequent reader of the Gawker Media network, namely Kotaku, Gizmodo and Lifehacker. Occasionally they post news somewhat related to their target audience and that's where I get it.
Kotaku caters to gamers, gizmodo to tech gadgets and hardware while Lifehacker... DIY stuff. Kotaku was where I got the 13 year old story and yesterday they updated again and said that there's been new developments.
