Transfer playlists

I bought a new laptop with vista. I had several playlists in itunes on my old laptop and I only had one of those playlists on my ipod. I transfered my music from one laptop to the other via an external harddrive.I now have all the music on my new laptop, but not all my playlists. I don't want to have to rebuild all my playlists. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Transfer playlists

An addition to my question is that I have the music on my new laptop, but it is not in itunes. I checked to make sure that I have the music location correct in itunes versus where it is stored on my laptop, but still no music in itunes.

Re: Transfer playlists

I don't believe you can transfer playlists because they are something you have to manually set up. However, you could always just copying the contents of your music folder to the laptop, and then "marking them all" to send all of them to the new folder in your playlist section.

Re: Transfer playlists

I apologise. I am wrong, you can send them.

Check that you have enough free space on your pc and follow the steps on this website: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
