Does it have any adverse effect on a forum........ well I suppose it does for dial up users. Slowing down loading time the same way that animated avatars do. People seem to like them though........ it helps them to feel at home.
Yep it would slow the forum down slightly and some people find them annoying, however I think most don't mind them. That's why I think it's important to have a vote
I dont think it does if you set image size restrictions, theres a hack for that on vbulletin.org. It doesnt let you have a image in your sig over X kb.

I like to hear that......... better than hearing "This forum is not a democracy" Sorry I need to get over it.
Oh and while we are talking about siggs - why can't I put a pic in my Avatar? Ever since I started this forum it always tells me the website isn't responding when I try to add one.

You must be doing it wrong then........ if I can do it anyone can.
