Recently, our voyager 105 modem broke, we phoned up aol to cancel (were going to go with tesco) and they said how about if we send you a modem free of charge and lower your monthly price to £9.99 a month (was paying £17.99) so she said yes... anyway, the modems came (sent us 2 for some reason) and they are ethernet rather than usb which has its atvantages
it nearly always works if you say you're going to leave, I did it last year with sky ended up with new digibox redid the dish with a new lnb and got 12 months at £15 instead of £22, soon be time to cancel again.
also do the same with telewest, they'd much rather have £15 per month than none at all
