Looks more like a graphics driver issue to me. Or perhaps the system is lacking in RAM. Both problems can cause display issues. If you're running Windows XP with Office 2003 Professional, you're going to be needing at least 256MB RAM and probably more like 512MB. Do you know how to check the amount of RAM that you have and the amount that Windows is trying to use?
To see if there are any updated Microsoft-certified graphics drivers for your PC, go to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. Choose the Custom option and, in the menu on the left, it will identify any available graphics driver updates in the Hardware section.
