word spell check

I have a massive word document with words on like….
“System.databasefridayyesterday” for example.

Now, all of the words in the phrase are spelt correctly, however word highlights it as grammatically incorrect,
which is fair. But I want to be able to ignore this.
I want to open the document and not see lots of words underlined in red, is there anyway I can do this? Apart from spell checking the whole document and ‘ignoring’ them?

thanks

Re: word spell check

Yes, this can be switched off completely, although the exact method may depend on which version of Word you are running. For Word 2003, go to Tools > Options > 'Spelling & Grammar' tab. Un-check the options to automatically check spelling and grammar.

Hope that helps

Re: word spell check

That's a good question. I would think that they will get all the unusual words underlined - their own copy of Word will be using its own settings checking spelling and grammar, not yours.

Also, bear in mind that right-clicking on underlined words on your PC and choosing 'Ignore' or 'Add To Dictionary' will not make any difference on the other user's PC as their "ignore list" and Office custom dictionary will be completely separate.
