Problem replying to emails in Thunderbird . .

Hello All.

I have recently set up a domain and hosting and a new email address.

I am using Thunderbird to retrieve my emails and I have found that while I can send emails to the new address okay - I cannot reply to them using TB.

I keep getting asked for a username and password.

Any ideas folks??

When you set up smtp under account preferences it said if you left it blank it would use the same password as given in pop. Go and edit just smtp part of email account accordingly. All you should need there is smtp.your usr name.com and remove whatever else you entered in that part of page that you set up the account. The statement about using pop password is to the right .

In My Linux Version of Thunderbird Yes. I might be mistaken on how it is set up for Windows though since I don't run Windows.
