NASA World Wind

Hot on the trail of Google Earth comes NASA World Wind. I haven't installed it yet but it promises 3D rendering, catalogs all natural disasters, simulation of hurricane dynamics, and much more.

That does sound pretty cool. Will have to download the .NETFramework first though. I'm doing that now...never really knew if it was required for anything, so never d/l it.

Looks like fun stuff! Vidster. I hope I have a chance to try it out soon.

It's a huge programe, you need 1GB of disk space and World Wind's cache is 2Gb, but saying that it is awesome. Iv'e been trying to get to grips with it for abour 2 weeks, the graphics are fantastic. You must get it you won't be disapointed.

You're lappy is being repaired...Good!

Ha Ha! I started downloading .netframework last night, using Firefox. At the same time you were discussing that MS Updates cannot be downloaded through Firefox (in another thread). Will have to start that process all over.

Blizey,

Honestly I wouldn't waste your time on it! I liked the labels, and the freedom it gives you, but the detail is horrible, compared to Google Earth. I like Earth much better.
