Unhappy Turns off

Hello, i would like to now if someone can help me with this annoying problem. When i´m in the internet searching for something, the computer turns off and starts again, and it appears a blue window with a message. Then, it comes a message saying that occured an error and to send the error report to microsoft. i sent it and it says:

Solution found: install missing updates
Thank you for submitting an error report. The error was likely caused by:
Surfboard 4100/4200 (netmotcm.sys)
your computer is missing updates that can fix or prevent the problem you reported.
Click the following link to install recommended updates from the Windows Update website:
then i do the update but my computer is already updated. This occurs very frequently, im tired of that. It might be any virus?? but im well protected...Pleaseee heellpp. Thanks

Re: Turns off

There are some drivers here:
http://broadband.motorola.com/noflash/surfboard.html

Also change this setting to get further error messages:rt. click My Computer then click Properties then Advanced then Startup and Recovery Settings then unclick Automatically restart

Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with a crash.

Re: Turns off

Have you tried running the modem thru' a ethernet (lan) cable instead of the USB ?
I take it you have a lan socket on your PC ?

Re: Turns off

The errors you posted are hardware & or drivers & they tend towards networking & connectivity issues so the modem is suspect as was pointed out to you in the first error.

Here is another driver brought up from netmotcm.sys
Altho it is a few years old.

http://www.modem-drivers.com/drivers/77/77622.htm

If you turned off the automatic reboot & can copy the error screen that would be helpfull. Also do a search from start/search/.dmp
Do you have any recent .dmp files?

Re: Turns off

well, the search that i´ve done result on this:the newest .dmp files are Mini042305-01.dmp and Mini042305-02.dmp that are in C:windows/Minidump.

the errors that i´ve received in the blue screen once says: Documents and Settings/Ana/Local definitions/temporary internet files/content.IE5/45I78LMB/i1[1].js and so many frases like this, only changes the content.

Then i did what u said and unclic the automatic reeboot and showed a message more or less like this: That it was detected a problem and windows was shut down.

BAD_POOL_CALLER

Technical information:

STOP: 0x000000C2 (0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x020A0008, 0x83D957D0).

this is really giving me a headache...what should i do more?

Lets see what you got, and make sure you have updated all the drivers you can.

The following process will give us the precise data to determine the precise issue.

1) Download and install the
Debugging Tools from Microsoft
2) Download and install this
debugwiz
3) Open the Wiz & Browse to, or paste in the path to, your MEMORY.DMP or latest .dmp file.
4) After the Wiz creates a Text document post it back to this thread.
