lost disk space

hi, when i try to copy a cd or dvd my computer is telling me i havnt enough disc space. done all the usual stuff but no change can anyone help please ?

ps im a novice so plain english please regards

Hi juddy3 and welcome!

If you are low on disk space, and you have done "all the usual stuff" then you have no choice but buy a bigger hard drive to replace what you have, or add as a secondary drive.

Perhaps you should tell us what you have for drives and free space, and what you have done to free some more up.

Please understand before you reply, if those CDs or DVDs contain music or videos that you personally did not pay an authorized retailer for, then that is software piracy, stealing, illegal. And we do not help folks commit crimes. Filesharing copyrighted materials without required royalties, compensation or licensing, by direct copy, or P2P site file transfers, is against the law in ANY country that is a member of the United Nations - which is just about all of them.

If you don't own the originals, you cannot make copies.

Beyond that, please understand that songs and videos that have been downloaded from peer-to-peer (P2P) sites are close to, if not the number one source of malware infestation.
