Device Drivers Update For Windows XP for Sony VAIO Laptop
Hello:
I have 2 Laptops. The oldest is a SONY VAIO PCG-FR130 that uses Windows XP, and the latest (that I am using now) is a SONY VAIO VGN-FZ210CE that uses Windows Vista. The latest Laptop is able to access the Internet, and the oldest can no longer acesss the Internet. A few weeks ago, I bought a new Motherboard and Hard Drive for the Old Computer, since the Technicians at Verizon stated that my inability to access the Internet was due to a bad Network Interface Card. I installed the original factory CD-ROM Disks into the new Hard Drive on the old computer and was unable to connect to the Internet (but it works perfectly in all other respects).
I was told that it is probably necessary to install new device drivers for the old computer. The only problem is that after I download a free copy of the latest drivers for Windows XP (by using the new computer), then burn it to a CD-ROM Disk, then load it into my old Computer, at some point in time, I get an error message stating basically that I need to be connected to the Internet in order to complete installation of the drivers. It's basically a Catch-22.
Can anybody recommend a Website that allows you to download a free copy of the latest device drivers (via my new computer) for my old computer that I can run on my old computer, without my old computer needing to connect to the Internet?
I would appreciate the help!
