Win7 Upgrade - Motherboard drivers

I bought a new machine over the summer that offered an upgrade to Win 7. I think I am ready to go ahead with the upgrade but am uncertain what to do abouit the motherboard drivers. After installing Win 7, is there anything I need to do about the motherboard drivers?

Windows 7 - Computer freezing a lot

I got 7 on the day it came out, however in the past few days my computer has been freezing a lot randomly.. The screen totally stops, the mouse moves but doesn't do anything when clicking things. The only way I've tried resolving this is restarting but the error has repeated itself. Also, I have restored to a previous point but it still persists..
Not sure what can be done to solve this?

Windows 7 still outputs a black screen on second monitor?

I have two monitors hooked up to my computer, One is a 22" AOC monitor and the secondary is a Compaq 17" monitor. My problem is that when Windows 7 is set to turn off the display, it only turns off my main display (22" AOC) and the other one, it just sends a black screen. Is this supposed to happen, and if not, how do I fix it?

EVGA Nvidia Geforce 8600GT
4.00 GB DDR2 RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Realtek HD Audio
AMD Phenom 9100e Quad Core @ 1.81GHz

I have an old custom built computer and i have windows 7 installed on another hard drive and when i want to use it i just switch them out but i cant find the drivers for the Ethernet to work so i can get onto the internet when i installed the drivers for windows xp i just went to the motherboard website to get them but when i go to it they don't have ANY windows 7 drivers any help?

Strange things happen

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and have two strange things happen.
1) If I leave the PC running and it goes into to hibernation when I wake it up I cannot recieve emails or get onto the internet and so have to reboot and all is fine.
2)Most frustraiting I have a Epson SX200 printer when I download the drivers from the Epson site they go on to install them I get a error message telling me they cannot install on my PC.

Any one got any thoughts?:56:

Hi, I was looking if someone knows how to fix this little problem. I got Windows 7 installed in a Windows Vista laptop 3 days ago. Now everytime I boot the computer, it always wants to check the Local Disk C: for it's consistency. I let it do it the first 2 times, and the checkup does end, but still, it always asks for it in every startup. What do I do to stop this?

Hi

I have Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I like it except for the annoying error message on start up. The pc does not start up cleanly either freezing at the Welcome screen, or at "Windows is starting up" or even giving a message to say it needed to repair itself. In the events log I get Error id 41 and id 11. I have just had a new psu, and in the last 6 months a new motherboard and h/d. I have installed AVG virus scanner for Windows 7 and wondering whether that was the issue uninstalled and put Avast on but no change and am back with AVG. Can anyone help me please. The problem is intermittent as one day it booted up correctly. My "guru" is completely flummoxed but has checked out all the internal items which seem to be working correctly.

Hello DAL,

I'm having another issue with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I am/was having a tuff time getting Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 & CS4 to function properly (I made a thread and I'm waiting for a response). So I decided to search around for a more reliable video editing program. I tried CyberLinks PowerDirector 8 + version 8 patch and Corel Ulead Video Studio's. Both programs are trial basis. I keep getting this error message for both programs "Program has stopped working" and it tries to resolve the problem with some compatibility options. I have tried to run both applications in every compatibility OS option with no luck .

Is this common? Any suggestions what I should do?

I am thinking of buying a new computer as my own computer is 7 years old I only use my computer for surfing but would like to download music and do other things with a new one,I understand that Windows 7 is out on the market so I would have to consider that.I wondered if someone could advise me of getting a good deal somewhere.

My machine ( NOT THIS ONE ) has dual boot. Vista Home Premium and Windows 7.

Yesterday evening - 29th October - I put the computer into 'sleep' mode. Keyboard 'sleep'.
The monitor screen darkened, but computer did not stop running. After waiting a while for it to shut dowmn I finally turned it off with the rear switch on the computer.

Today, on attempting to start the computer, the machine runs but nothing at all appears on the monitor screen.

Yesterday all was well and working fine. All connections are intact, and there is power to the monitor.

I just don't know where to start looking for whatever fault there is.

I'm just pleased that I have this second (XP) computer to work with. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Graphics card problem

Hi, new to this site...and i have a problem!!

I'm currently upgarding my pc. I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo P, 2.80Ghz processor, now 2.5GB ram.

My current graphics card is a Radeon Sapphiere x1550. Trying to install a RAdeon HD 4350.

Right, to the problem...

When i first tried to install the 4350 i was running Win XP. Put the card in the PCI E slot, switched on, an the PC started up, got as far as the windows loading screen, with the XP logo and the progress bar. The progress bar stopped, and nothing else happened, it just stuck and wouldn't go any further.

Tried a few times. Smae thing.

Put my old card back in, and it worked fine.

Have now installed Windows 7. Tried the same thing, and exactly the same thing happened again.

Have tried completely unistalling the current card, still the same thing.

Tried running the Win 7 disc and repairing windows, that just stuck as well.

Have no idea what else to try. Have heard that i maybe need to disable onboard graphics, but don't know how to do that.

I assume its some sort of software conflict, as everything else works fine, and it let me start up in safe mode.

Anyone know what i can do??? Please!!
