For a while I have been able to access my home PC from the outisde world. I have been using Radmin to do this.
Recently, I can no longer access remotely. I can remote from another PC on the LAN, and so I know the remote server is OK (I have also tried TightVNC and have the same problem). The relevant ports are forwarded/opened in both the software firewall and hardware/router firewall. This is confirmed by going to canyouseeme.org and checking the Radmin port - it says that it can see my service fine.
So I got rid of the router and stuck in a good old modem and was able to access remotely.
Thinking it maybe the router firewall being fussy, I put the router back and made the Radmin PC a DMZ server. However this didnt help.
I've now run out of ideas and so here i am, asking for the professionals to guide me
TIA
by the way:
running windows XP Pro, netgear dg834gt router, orange broadband. the radmin pc is wired and has a static network IP.
