I hooked my computer to my partners dads for lan gaming....i used a cat5e crossover cable...i works a treat...can play against each other .its so funny...only problem is, that he has a good connection to me and can acsess the shared folder...I CANT! all mine ever says is limeted or no connectivity, so a cant acces the shared folders....we set our setting the same...please help me.
I've seen this a few times recently when trying to network PCs running Norton Internet Security on a workgroup network. If you are using Norton Internet Security, check that the firewall is trusting network addresses on the range of IP addresses that your PCs use, e.g. 192.168.0.2, etc. You'll need to do this on both PCs. Other firewall applications should have similar settings as well.
Limited or no connectivity????
