Hm, i have a compaq with microsoft WE, another computer as VAIO, and another one thats a laptop with windows XP.
Heres the situation. my compaq has broadband modem with a linksys wireless connection attached to it so that the VAIO can connect to the internet as well. The VAIO is doing fine, great connection and all, but then i got this laptop.....and forgot how to connect it to the linksys wireless thingy. The different types of windows programs are messing me up, theres a lock (WEP) on our connection, the VAIO automatically connects to this compaq, but my laptop needs the WEP key still, and i dont know how to get it on the compaq. So i went to the VAIO (since it also uses windows XP) and got the WEP, i connected to this wireless connection, but it says it has a -limited or no connectivity- message. Im wondering if i got the wrong WEP key, theres nothing wrong with the laptop either, cause i can connect to public wireless connections at my library and it works fine. The connection signal is "very good", but i still cant get on the internet. I went to the troubleshooting device and it told me that the problem is because there isnt a web address assigned to the network by the network

..... like i really know what that means. plx help me
Thx a bunch
