Belkin Router

Thought i'd try on here since i got help so fast with my upgrade.

I own a Belkin G+ Router but for some reason or another it has two problems:

It only lets one computer have access to the internet at a time (More can connect to the router but opnly one to the internet.

Also...if a computer isnt disconnected from the router correctly it takes about half an hour before the router lets a computer reconnect.

I have read through the instruction manual and other forums and havnt been able to find a solution

Things to note

The power, ethernet, wireless and phone line led's are all green on the router....but the internet led is RED (flashing)

When on the router setup page (an ip address available offline) says the internet is connected....even if i am connected to the internet on that computer.

I only have an ADSL box connected from the router to the main phone line...but not one from the main phone liine to the actual phone (dont know if thats relevant)

Could it be i have the wrong settings set up or is it a different problem?

I was through wanadoo broadband which has now switched to orange (up to 8meg)

Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated as my brother has just bought a laptop and we are having to take turns on the internet.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Belkin Router

Here is Belkin's page:

Did you load the latest firmware?

Have you read this guide:

http://belkin.httpsvc.vitalstreamcdn...our_router.pdf

Have you checked with Orange? They may have some specific ISP settings for you.

Did you make any changes to your modem? Some modems need to be reset as a bridge. Again ask Orange.

The modem as well might need the latest firmware. What is the make and model of the modem?

Re: Belkin Router

So this is it:

http://www.belkin.com/support/produc...&pid=F5D9230-4

According to the manual this router still requires a modem:

http://belkin.httpsvc.vitalstreamcdn...0-4_manual.pdf

Is that the router you have?

First off I would verify that you have the latest firmware.

Then verify that you set it up as per the Belkin instructions.

Use the Setup Wizard if you can.

Then verify the specific ISP setup as seen here:

http://www.belkin.com/isp/wizard/?l=6

Internet Provider: ORANGE
Connection Type: PPPOA
VPI/VCI: 0/38
Encap: vcmux
