Re: ZoneAlarm and gmail (Googlemail)
With zone alarm you shouldn't have to configure any ports. I use ZA so I'll try to help you on it however I've only used the English version. On the left side of the program menu click on "program control", then near the top click the "programs" tab. This will list all of the programs on your computer & allow you to change the access permissions. In the list scroll down & find Google talk. Make sure that you see four check boxes, two listed under the column that says access & two under a column that says server. If there is anything else (a blue question mark or a red X) click on this & change it to a green check mark that says allow beside it.
If this doesn't work then uninstall zone alarm, restart your computer, & then reinstall zone alarm. Make sure you click to perform a clean install. The first time you run google talk after the reinstall you should get a box in the lower right hand corner of your screen asking you if you want to allow google talk to access the internet. Click the check box beside "remember this setting" and then click the box that says allow.
Either way ZA should then automatically configure its self to let google talk access the internet.

1) State your OS(s), any software involed in your problem, & any major updates (i.e. service pack, version, edition, service release, roll up, beta release, distribution [Linux], etc.) to your OS/software as applicable to your problem.
2) For hardware issues also provide your system information: RAM, processor, etc. in addition to your OS.
3) If you have more than one OS on your computer, how does your problem relate to your other OS(s)? This is especially important for hardware issues.
4) Provide as much detail as possible, being specific as even the most minute detail could help others help you solve the problem. Please tell us what you have tried.
5) Respond with the result(s) of the suggestion(s) from the other users to provide feedback, even if this only means saying "this worked!!!"
