Need some advice on hooking up a network

Hello guys/gals, what I have is, one computer using via-wireless card (USB) another one using hardwire (Ethernet Cable). The one computer is just XP Pro (wireless one) and the hardwire one is dual boot with XP Pro/Vista Business. I am using a router from my ISP that is network rdy so, how do I set my 2 computers to be seen on a network? Do I have to use the same OS to beable to view both computers on a network? When I am in Vista, I go to Network Sharing Center I just see that computer on my network map. I am getting rdy to take my Microsoft exam next month and I want to do some activities like, file sharing and printsharing, file transfer. Can someone please help me? Thanks!!

Re: Need some advice on hooking up a network

Assuming all the hardware connections are proper:

In XP to XP just use the Network Connection Wizard on each computer.

In Vista see this:

Re: Need some advice on hooking up a network

Thanks Jephree! ..I haven't yet tried it bro, because I am studing for the MCTS for :"Configuring Vista"
The book is over 700 pages and I am about 3/4 through. What I am doing is ready each chapter, then going back to do the pratice stuff..i.e "setting up network"....one computer is on XP and I have another one that will Vista. Can that be possible to have a network using 2 different OS?
