Ad Hoc between computer and PDA
I have set up a peer to peer ad hoc network between my old HP Laptop and my Dell Axim PDA.
I have got the laptop all set up for sharing etc so I can get my music on my pda. I have got GSFinder+ on my pda, but when I give it the path etc, it says "Error connecting to resource: 53"
Does anyone have any idea what this means??
I would like to know that I can get it to work before I go and buy a wireless adaptor for my PC
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Re: Ad Hoc between computer and PDA
That looks right, but I am not familiar with any to the equipment you are using so hopefully someone else reading might be able to help. Or perhaps the maker's sites would offer better luck.

Re: Ad Hoc between computer and PDA
The only thing I have to offer is to suggest an Axim oriented site. I have no experience with the following two, but they "appear" popular and professionally run. AximUsers.com
or
Dell Axim Forums on MobilitySite.com. Check them both out then post your question on one of them - I sure don't want to suggest you "shotgun" your question across multiple sites, or multiple forums on the same site. Not cool! Hopefully someone there will be able to help, or at least point you in the right direction. Assuming those forums, like most technical support forums, including D-A-L, are staffed by volunteers, so we need to give reasonable time for someone to respond. If you get no help (or worse yet, no response ) after a couple days, try the other site.
In any event, let us know how it works out, and if you think the sites are worth bookmarking.

Re: Ad Hoc between computer and PDA
They are up now - while waiting for a response, no harm in searching the other site in case someone else already asked.
