I recently got a Belkin Wireless G+MIMO ADSL2+ Modem Router (F5D9630uk4A) as a replacement for my broken Modem and old D-Link Router and I'm having problems not ecountered before on it.
The first problem:
I have a webserver running behind the router and I have a DynamicDNS SubDomain name. When I enter the subdomain name into my browser's address bar, the router's setup page appears instead. But when I ask someone else to open the page, the website appears with no problems. I could open the site by entering it's local IP but I prefer developing with the subdomain name entered.
The second problem:
I have a Nintendo DS Lite and it's not connecting to the internet. When I set it up, It states that it connected to the access point but not to the internet. I've tried both homebrew and official games and they both didn't work. I don't have this problem before on the D-Link. Other devices such as notebooks and the Nintendo Wii connected without any problems.
The third "problem":
I was deciding between this and the D-Link DSL-2640T and picked this due to the lifetime warranty. I'm wondering that would it be better to change this router to the D-Link?
I have same sort of issue ans not being able to use the domain allthough it works fine from outside the network, not sure why, didnt used to.
ANyway, i would think that the issue with your DS is that the network security details do not match. This typiclly causes it to connect to router but not internet.
Another possiblilty is that the firewall blocks certain ports that the DS needs. or it is blocking unrecognised MAC adresses.Have a look fro those settings
I changed it for the D-Link DSL-2640 router now.
The Nintendo DS is able to connect
Strangely, it still suffers the unable to access external IP problem.
