It depends whether your computer is compatable with the wi-fi connection. It has to be a certain type of wireless connection to your computer, otherwise, it will not work. You would have to ask your parents though. However, if your computer is not wireless, then there is no way you can have wi-fi connection.
Also, to be able to use the connection, i'm guessing you'd also have to know someone in a different country with the same game as you, if you want to play together internationally from the connection nationwide.
We do have wireless computer, but it is not compatable with the connection, therefore, i would check with your parents about the computer before you go buying the wire (which is needed for the animal crossing connection).
