Memory Timing

I want to try changing my memory timing. I've been recently getting memory reference errors with IE, AIM, but mainly counter-strike source (video game). I have an ASUS motherboard, and for the DRAM settings in the BIOS is in clocks. 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 for CAS#, RAS#. Theres also "precharge delay", and "burst length" in DRAM settings. I dont know what those clocks mean nor what settings to set them. The motherboards manual doesn't really give any suggestions just what it has.

i have
ASUS P4P800-VM
intel 3.0 HT 800FSB
1x512 mushkin DDR266
1x512 DDR226 came from e machine computer
120GB SATA HD
