How do i change mouse control to Radio shacks Psx to game Adapter

Most pc games domated by using the mouse and Key Board, why can’t I use
Radio Shacks PSX to USB Game Adapter, it is installed on my Pc, it passes
the desktop Game control Tests, but when I try using the game adapter with the play station controller it will not work, the mouse is a Logitech mouse comes with its own software, there must be a way to isolate the two so when I use the game controller they separate and the mouse is used only
as it self out side being used for ps works (not pc Games)..Can you help me.
