bought a new motherboard motherboard and i think its incompatible !!

hi all, listen, i bought a new mother board MSI P4P800S-X and it says that it can handle video cards AGP 8x but the weird thing is that is says: 1.5v only! i found that strange so thats why i havent bought a nice video card i'd like to know if MSI NX6200-TD256 Geforce 6200 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card is compatible with this motherboard, i really need to know and if a pentium 4 Northwood at 2.8 Gz its compatible too.

thx for listening, with kind regards

Just quickly: do you mean an ASUS P4P800S-X

http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/sock...x/overview.htm

I am not able to bring up the specs at this time from that site.

Where are you getting the 1.5V info?

Re: bought a new motherboard motherboard and i think its incompatible !!

Is the above your board?

Asus P4P800S-X Socket 478 ATX Mobo

If so the specs state: Expansion Slots 1 x AGP 8X, (0.8V, 1.5V only)

As in "Only 0.8V & 1.5V"

The 8X will run off the 0.8V

& that CPU should be fine too.
