Beeping?

My computer recently started making beeping noises, not at start-up, but during the general use of the PC. The beeping is two short beeps, then a long, high pitch noise. This just keeps looping. What's wrong, and how can it be fixed.

Thanks.

I have a Gigabyte GA-7N400Pro2, AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 512MB RAM.

Have a look at your RAM.

Thanks. Don't know why I didn't try that earlier, tried everything else I could think of. Anyways, it's fixed, thanks

Exclamation Re: Beeping?

Uhm. It solved that one anyway, it's now making beeps at completely random intervals.

Re: Beeping?

Is the RAM faulty ? Remove the RAM and have a good look at the gold contacts

Re: Beeping?

Ok, hasn't beeped in a while. Maybe it was the RAM. Thanks anyway.
