trying to set up a home network

couls somebody please give me the steps for setting up two comps to speak to each other, share a printer using a crossover cable

i have installe dthe cable and both computers can aceess the web but that is all i try looking in my network places and nothing is shown

i am very confused and this may take some time but please help

If it dont fit...force it. If ya cant force it...get a bigger hammer. If it breaks...it probably needed replacing anyway.

have you got the printer drivers on both PC's ? is the firewall stopping the other from seeing it?
