Question pc wont work

my pc wont work i power up and the start button flashes rapidly and thats it i have replaced the psu i have a packard bell imedia 1501 and i cant get any joy and the STR LED LIGHT ON MOTHER BOARD KEEPS FLASHING any help peeps gettin fed up might start knitting LOLhttp://www.d-a-l.com/help/:

Why did you replace the PSU? Were you trying to fix this same problem. If so how did the problem start?

Are you sure that the new PSU connections are all proper? Is there a 4 pin ATX connection as well as the 20/24 pin main?

Try removing everything but the PSU; RAM; CPU and Graphics Card.

You might also try clearing the CMOS by removing the power and the motherboard battery and then changing the jumpers (if relevant). Jumpers would be next to the battery. 3 pins perhaps labeled CCMOS or JBAT. If you see this move the jumper (sleeve) from 1&2 to 2&3. After a few minutes reverse this whole process and try booting again.

i did that changed cmos pin and took battery out and waited 15 mins put bck
in and nothing? i think processor is fried ?took everything off mo board and
worked way up slow but when its all put bck its the same, like its in
suspend because the STR_LED keeps flashing on mo board and the new power
has the p4 plug brand new psu and no joy i did think of hiding pc under
carpet and forget about it he-he thanx for reply was helpful cheers
do you know what it could be ?? baffling me
