Laptop problems

Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire 3000 with Windows XP. A few days ago the keyboard started acting up, now it won't work at all and neither will the touchpad. The power button is also a bit iffy and the system is freezing! I can use an external keyboard and mouse in the USB ports, although this can be hit and miss at times, and earlier today the internet button refused to work.
Does anyone have any ideas? I would be very grateful for any advice.

The problem turned out to be a flat battery. It works fine with no battery, just using mains power, but wont work at at all with the battery installed. I am now awaiting delivery of a new battery.
