Laptop Cursor

Hi
We recently bought a new laptop. The problem we are having is that if we leave the curser over something it clicks itself. Could somebody tell us how to stop this? It's really annoying. I've looked in the mouse section in control panel and cant see anything there (not that we are using a mouse).
Thanks in advance
K

Re: Laptop Cursor

Sounds like a faulty trackpad (mousepad) on the laptop. I've never seen a laptop that had a setting to do this deliberately. Alternatively, there might be a software problem in the driver that is installed for it. Check the manufacturer's web site to see if there's an updated trackpad driver that you can download and install. If that doesn't help, I'd suggest that you get onto the manufacturer's tech support and get it fixed under warranty.
