I've posted most of my info over in the HJT Log forum and in the WindowsXP forum, but the problem of IE not working on my computer still persists.
I've had two problems with my PC lately.
One being a regular BSOD (which I have since fixed), and the other being IE refusing to launch becuase of a "Runtime Error!" in c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe
I have run Memtest86 (latest version) and have found no errors in the RAM (I had recently installed a 3rd stick of RAM bringing my RAM to (as it lies in the banks) 256-256-512MB).
The Prime95 RAM Torture Test isn't completing however (it isn't returning errors, it's just not completing. The computer doesn't freeze or anything, the tests just never 'clock up' so to speak).
There is more info in the first thread I started here (including a HJT log from when it first happened, and one since I have installed AVG and SP2):
http://www.d-a-l.com/help/spyware-adware-viruses-hijackthis-logs/24872-runtime-error-iexplore-exe-post63548.html
And on the secondary thread (mainly concerned with the BSOD) here:
Runtime error! IEXPLORE.exe + BSOD from win32k.sys
Info on the problems I had when installing the RAM are found (on another forum) here:

Please note that I still had the BSOD and IE trouble when I reverted back to my original RAM - then again Prime95 worked well. I wanted to upgrade to the latest version of P95, but their site was down last night.
Hope any of you can help; I'm desperately confused by this problem.
EDIT: the P95 website was back up this morning, so I have now upgraded to the latest version. It ran this morning for 3hr 44min without 'hanging.' Tomorrow I will leave it on all day, and see how it is going when I return home.
