I can't download anything

I'm using IE6 and Windows ME The only place I can download from is windows update.
I'm pretty much having the same problem as the guy is this thread CAN"T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. How can I fix this?

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.

I can't do a Hijackthislog because I can't download adware or spybot, and when I go system restore it won't let me go back to early date then june because when I press the back button it stays at the month of june.

If you cannot download and run HijackThis on the computer in question then download it on another computer and copy it to a floppy. Then run HijackThis off the floppy on the affected computer and save the log back to another floppy which you can then post back here in the HijackThis section.
