Wireless LAN Connection
I have a Navman PiN 570 PDA. As well as the Sat Nav Function I also want to use it to get online when out and abaout as well as when at home.
I have bought a Safecom Wireless LAN Card and installed the software on the PDA via Smart ST.
I can get the Wireless LAN up on the PDA and can see wireless networks that are avaialble. But, I cannot connect. I never seem to find anywhere to be able to log on with my username, password, etc. I've been through all the menus and the like and looked at making a new connection but all it seems to suggest is putting in number for dial up!!
Help, what am I doing wrong? What should I be doing/looking for to get connected? How do I get on line?
Thanks

Re: Connecting PDA via Wireless LAN to Internet HELP
Get as close to the wireless router as possible. See if you can connect. Connection is a two way situation, you may be able to see the station, but your signal may not be strong enough to hit the station. If you still can not connect, make sure you do not have any proxy option selected (where it says, use proxy server for lan should not be checked). If all those are ok, then you got to make sure that IP add and Subnet mask and default Gateway setting in your wireless card matches what your router supports (make sure DHCP everywhere is selected0
