Question Outlook express - Froze send/receving

Hi,
Was trying to send some pics to a friend and now the Outlook Express has froze..constantly sending! I don't seem to be receiving owt either.

I've sent pics before, never been a problem, but never this large amount of pics - 28mb, 47 files.
I've tried making the pics smaller, no joy.Done Tools/accounts/break into smaller amounts(What amount should i break them into?)......now it's stuck trying to send 48 messages!!! wtf!!
Extended server time out etc, nope, still no joy.
Also, when I start OExpress, I have a password before I can receive/send etc...now when I go into OE it just comes on.....and starts sending, and sending,,,,and sending!

Any ideas chaps? been trying 2 days now, starting to get on my erm, nerves

Eh?! lol, just checked OE ( I'd left it sending ) and the password/logon window was there, strange. So I logged in and it received loads of messages, but now we're back to sending again!

How can I cancel sending, like when you can cancel a print job etc, can't find owt anywhere. Cheers, Dave

Re: Outlook express - Froze send/receving

Your ISP may have a maximum size limit for attachments and your message exceeds that limit.

Try this:

1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2. Click your POP3 account under the Mail tab, and then click Properties.
3. Click the Advanced tab, and then set the Sending option to Break apart messages larger than <xx> KB, where <xx> is your ISP's attachment size limit.

Hi bkdc,
Yes i've already tried that, but i don't know my ISP's attach limit
Thanks anyway.

BUT, after reading my post, the wife had a brainwave and had a look in outlook express, in the OUTBOX and said, oh, there's your messages, and just deleted them...

Perfect again now! Cheers wifey

I could get hooked on some of those stupid games my self but the site won't work on my Linux box I bought my wife bejeweled-2 about a year ago & she plays every night. Its okay; kids are gone, house is somewhat in shape, and there is no cat... I'll have to try some of the games on her PC
