IE9 was installed on one of my systems and now it won't let me access the internet. Feedback is appreciated.

There is no such thing as IE9.

Beyond that, we would need to know what hardware you have, and what version of Windows.

OS is Vista. It's a Toshiba notebook. I have to assume the system has been affected by malware. When I opened IE, it welcomed me to IE9, despite the fact that IE9 doesn't exist. I will re-install the browser. Thank you.

I was hoping you simply mistyped IE9, but now you say it still says 9.

I recommend you follow the HijackThis Procedures to ensure your system is clean.
