Final Version of Internet Explorer 7 Now Available for XP SP2.
Microsoft today released the long-awaited version of the Internet Explorer 7 browser for the Windows XP SP2 operating system. It is the first major new version of Internet Explorer since 2001.
IE 7 for Windows XP SP2 is available as a free download, and it also will be offered as a high-priority update via Microsoft's Automatic Updates service starting in November.

If you are set to receive Automatic Updates and do not want IE7 you should change your settings for Windows Updates. This Automatic Update will probably be included in the November second Tuesday package: November 14, 2006.
