Re: internet explorer 8

I doubt that your IE version would affect your performance so you might want to consider some malware scans.

But to answer your question directly: go to start > control panel > add or remove programs

check the box that shows "show updates"

scroll down to MS IE8 (or windows ie8) and choose Uninstall.

Re: internet explorer 8

Those two scans should be sufficient.

I would go ahead and try uninstalling IE8 as I mentioned above.

See if it makes a difference.

Re: internet explorer 8

If you’re having issues with your Internet running slow in IE8 you may be running too many add-ons. In IE, go to ‘tools’ and ‘manage add-ons’. Disabling any unnecessary add-ons may help your Internet run faster. Try disabling add-ons with more than a .2 sec load time.

Or try running IE in no add-ons mode. Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) to see if one is causing the problem. If this fixes the issue, then go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons and change the Show setting on the left to All Add-ons, then select all of the add-ons listed and click Disable All. You can then enable the add-ons one by one to find which one is causing the problem.

Hope that helps.

Re: internet explorer 8

i'm using ie7 + google chrome, and i've tried ie8 and back roll to ie7, i think ie7 is faster. but the fastest one is chrome, but its only shortage is that it can't use any plug-in such as google toolbar.
