Homemade Cooling Pad

Im trying to build a homemade cooling pad for my laptop. The reason being is that the bottom gets extremely hot and when you touch it, it burns your fingers. I'm using a cardboard box (lol don't make fun of me, im low on resources), 2 motors (little ones that come in a PS2 controller) and some wires I recieved from Physics class. I disconnected the semicircle drum and connected some plastic blades on the rotary shaft. I know figured out that the fans can not run on a 9V battery, or it will explode. Does anyone know if this is plausable?
