Taking a CD burner

Hey I have a dell 4700 and a VAIO. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/tut...9&mdl=PCVRX753

the video shows the VAIO.

I want to take the CD burner from my vaio for my dell.

and I want a new ram so i can play World Of Warcraft better. Currently it's 504mb and I need 512mb + to play without lagging. Any ideas where I can get one cheap?

Re: Taking a CD burner

What is the CD question? I see no reason why you cannot move the drive.

There is a RAM scan here to show what type you need:

Where you get it depends on where you are. In the US Newegg is about as cheap as anyone else.

Re: Taking a CD burner

The question was do you think it's fine if I take the CD burner from my VAIO and take it to my dell. Would it still work?

And I am in California.

Re: Taking a CD burner

Basically remove the screws on the side inside the case and slide it out then in.

Here are some guides:

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...stall+cd+drive

I trust that scanner: yes. Crucial is a leading manufacturer.

No: I don't even have a TV.

If you mean the power line you can get a splitter (Y).

If you mean data: is this a SATA CD drive?

No flat ribbon (IDE)?

Are you going to have two CD drives in the one computer?
